This docum
entary will be going into depth on the struggles homeless people face everyday and the cause of the growing issue in Sheffield. 'Homelessness in Sheffield' will feature real homeless people. I intend for the documentary to give the audience are detailed inside Homelessness and for homeless. My overall aim is to encourage people to help and pay more attention on this issue. Discovering this information from www.theguardian.com
'Latest official figures show an estimated 4,134 people were forced to sleep outside in 2016, up 16% on the previous year' which shows that rough sleeping is not going any where and is instead growing.

The people I would like to feature in this documentary are real life rough sleepers. This is in order for the audience to get an insight of what living rough is actually about and how it is caused and
I would also like to feature people who work in shelters and specialise in helping the homeless. This is to get a professional view on the issue and how others can pay more attention on helping the problem. This will also make the documentary more informative.

The intended location will be Sheffield due to the documentary being based on homelessness in Sheffield. The types of location will mostly be the centre of Sheffield such as Train station area, The Moor, etc. This is due to there being many homeless people around these areas. The areas will be public areas and will not need permission to film.

Danny MacAskill's Wee Day Out - Documentary/ sports

The action sports short film follows the well renowned athlete 'Danny MacAskill' exploring the rural landscape around Edinburgh with the intention of the film capturing the simple fun of a ride in the country. Throughout the film the main emphasis is placed on the one character, Danny MacAskill. The character is clearly portrayed to be a professional level sportsman as the seamless editing and only flawless stunts shown in the film support this. Furthermore, a variety of camera work is prevalent throughout. A range of camera angles and movements make for an engaging piece. The use of pans and tracking shots of the rider keep the focus purely on him and add emphasis to this.

The film is edited in a fast paced style with there being cuts every few seconds, this past paced editing further reinforces the past paced nature of the sport being shown. The film also makes use of several creative techniques such as slow motion, this can be seen at 2:45 within the video. The use of the fast paced action juxtaposed by the slow motion of the trick makes for a more dramatic scene whilst again adding emphasis the the character. In the film there is also little use of special effects, this keeps it pure and doesn't detract from the sport/ narrative it is trying to present. However, there are title graphics features which are designed in a vintage style in order to match the video of the vintage train and setting.
